Our workshops are designed for beginners looking for a one-day taster course to find out if upholstery is for them and those committed to a larger project.

For beginners, a footstool, dining chair with drop in seat or piano stool are ideal and can be completed on a one-day course. If you are working on a bigger project, just choose the dates that suit you. Specialist tools such as staplers, needles and button making equipment will be available to borrow.

You are welcome to visit any course before deciding if these workshops are for you. We are available to provide advice and discuss what you would like to achieve. Be inspired by the wide variety of chairs that are brought along for rejuvenation. We really believe that you learn from each other and not just from the tutors. Enjoy the chat and homemade cakes!

With this “mix and match” way of running a workshop, be inspired by the wide variety of chairs that are brought along for rejuvenation. We really believe that you can learn from each other and not just from the tutors. You will learn traditional skills working to professional standards.

Find out if upholstery works for you. Bring a piece of furniture, your fabric and any final trimming, such as braid or nailstrip. We provide all the tools. The materials like webbing, felt, calico and nails are provided for a small additional charge.
